Using what you have and loving it

DIY floral centerpiece from our own backyard

DIY flower arranging is what we are all about and after 13 years of playing with flowers as a non-professional I needed to try something different.  Today I went into our yard at work and decided to use nature as my inspiration.  Everything in this arrangement was cut from a tree, weed or bush right in our yard and I think the results are amazing.

What do you think?

I initially inspired by the pine cone but all of these are used in the design

For this design I used one of our galvanized small buckets and a corresponding 6 inch Easy Arranger.  I like how the natural look of the metal works with the rustic natural of the cuttings.

Next thing was to just add the cuttings.  I took a lot of the lower leave off to expose the stem before putting them in the Easy Arranger.

I just love how the finished look turned out.  When I showed everyone here at andcasa.com and Annabelle Noel Designs the comment was, "That would be beautiful as a wedding centerpiece."  So I quickly added our galvanized pic and chalkboard mini-sign/coaster and wrote on it with our white chalk ink marker.

Whether for a wedding or just everyday, I think the look is perfect.  Subtle, soft pinks, purples and green are great colors for Spring or Fall and work well with the metals.

I love this look so much for a DIY wedding centerpiece, I added a kit to our website you can pick up for a short time.  For $30 you get 3 buckets, 3 6 inch Easy Arrangers, 3 Chalkboard mini-signs, 3 picks and one chalk ink marker plus free shipping. CLICK HERE to check it out.
